Dad Jokes, Volume 1 is the first stage of a project called Dad Jokes. It is a piece consisting of five distinct sections. Each section will form the basis of a distinct piece, standing on its own. Each piece will be given a name which is a pun. For example, “Didja Redo?”
Volume 1 uses drum samples from classic and contemporary tunes Funk tunes as the basis for each section. Volume 2 will will have five sections just like Volume 1. In the end, the plan is to have ten pieces in the Dad Jokes collection. The sampled drums will be replaced with virtual drums I play on the keyboard.
